The meeting in a nutshell

The second meeting of the GAMES project took place in Bucharest, Romania from May 14–May 18, 2018. This was a training event for pupils. In particular:

  • Pupils had a crash course in HTML5 together with a very short introductuion to CSS. As an exercise, they created simple web pages. In addition, all teams were assigned with the creation of a simple yet complete web page presenting their school. These assignments will be presented in the next meeting.
  • They were introduced to the <canvas> element and its capabilities by means of some simple and not so simple animations.
  • Pupils were introduced to the gamification of learning by Ilona Chiriac and they learnt about sandtray play and played with a sand box. Obviously, this is not stricktly related to our project, nevertheless, it was a very useful and interesting experience for our pupils.
  • Both pupils and teachers visited the Peleș Castle and had the chance to admire a masterpiece of architecture!
